CAIM Lagos State welcomes the International President, Apostle Solomon Okorie, a journey of appreciation and a new initiatives.
THE VISIT OF THE INT’L PRESIDENT, APOSTLE SOLOMON OKORIE TO LAGOS CHAPTER OF CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF IGBO MINISTERS, CAIM ON FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 19, 2025.
The Lagos State September general meeting was awesome. The State Coordinator, Dr. Charles Idu on behalf of the State Excos and the entire membership CAIM, Lagos State, warmly receive the Int’l President, Apostle Solomon Okorie.
Apostle Okorie was on a State tour to express his profound gratitude to God and sincere appreciation to Lagos State for their corporate support for the success of WIPS Imo 2025 held in Owerri Imo State capital.
Addressing the house, Dr. Solomon announced his three-point agenda for the visit which includes:
1. Appreciation
2. Appraisal
3. Operation Feed My Sheep Crusade.
Appreciation :
In his speech, Apostle Solomon began by expressing gratitude to the WIPS Chairman Dr. Charles Idu and his team for a job well done.
He shared some interesting testimonies of great manifestation of God’s presence in the 2025 WIPS, especially the street rally.
He was deeply impressed by the coordination and cooperation among team members; especially the host State local organizing Committees (LOC) headed by Apostle Charles Nweme and members.
He noted that WIPS Imo 2025 was in deed, an improved version of WIPS so far and affirmed that WIPS PH 2026 will be greater as CAIM ascends to greater glory.
Appraisal :
At this juncture, he took off with the first agenda and asked the house to give their sincere appraisal and point possible loopholes that could stall success in subsequent programs.
However, members made their appraisals which includes the following:
1. That 2025 WIPS represented the original concept of Prayer Summit. There was enough time allotted to prayers than in the previous WIPSs.
2. That food services were better this time and food vendors also cooperated with the LOC in subsidy.
3. That the venue of the meeting was a divine orchestration. The Host, Missionary Dr. V. S. Isiodu, G/O, Balm of Gilead Ministries Int’l was bodily present from start to finish each day to be part of the cry for better and progressive Igbo Land; an uncommon gesture.
Some observations made by participants include:
1. That the Int’l President was practically involved in all committees’ assignments, a situation the observer felt it was strenuous to his position.
2. That core members, who are deeply involved in day to day activities of CAIM at any level, should be considered as speakers in major programs like World Igbo Prayer Summit. That way, we can appreciate and project our own, than sourcing for One-Time Preachers who may not be completely involved in the overall vision of CAIM.
3. That WIPS annual programs should not be used as a platform to project publications of the host State. The observer opined that some publications such as National annual Calendar that will feature National programs for the incoming year should be introduced at WIPS, not host State publication, that this will help generate fund for the National Pause.
In his response, the Int’l President appreciated these humble inputs and observations and politely explained that most times his intervention has saved cost for the association, giving many instances to buttress his assertion.
Moreover, he affirmed that, as a servant leader, it is in him always to serve and not to be served.
Operation Feed My Sheep:
The President in his third agenda, introduced “Operation Feed My Sheep Crusade” to be carried out in all Local Government Areas of Igboland as the Lord directed.
To achieve this, he informed that he had visited several State Chapters after Imo WIPS to share the vision and set up CAIM Food Bank committees in each State.
These committee members, like Joseph in Egypt, are saddled with the responsibility of sourcing for food items; yams, garri, rice, beans, cash etc. for the CAIM Food Bank, for onward distribution during the Operation Feed My Sheep Crusades. He added that this will serve as CAIM Palliatives at these difficult times.
This vision was considered a wholesome development and was supported by the house.
To this end, the Int’l President inaugurated a Five-man committee to man the CAIM Food Bank in Lagos State. They were to source for food items or cash and send to the central CAIM Food Bank in Igboland.
The committee members were prayed for commissioned.
The President informed that the first “Operation Feed My Sheep Crusade” will be announced in due time.
In conclusion, the Int’l President once again commended the efforts of Lagos State Chapter in participating in National programs such as WIPS in spite of cost, time and risk.
He sincerely noted that “ if someone even paid the transport fare for all delegates to East, did he pay for the stress and life’s risk involved?” a statement that resonated with the enormous challenges involved in traveling to East at difficult times.
At this point, the State Coordinator, Dr. Charles Idu, appreciated the visit of Mr. President and assured him of the unwavering support and loyalty of Lagos State Chapter in upholding with passion, the corporate interest of our dear association.
He appealed to the President to reconsider the timing of the National Women Convention held annually in October just 2 Months after the World Igbo Prayer Summit in August to give room for recuperation. In his response, the President said he has taken note and promised to make meaningful changes that will encourage unit and keep the fire already set in motion burning.
