CAIM procession wove through the street of Owerri , with prophetic declaretion during the World Igbo Prayer Summit
WIPS FIRST DAY REPORT
By 8:00 am, the National Prayer Team with the USA Coordinator started a prayer session that lasted between 8-8:45 am. Thereafter, Bishop Aniede Simeon, the Vice Int'l President who anchored the program for the day took the floor. After his opening remarks, a season of praises was observed. Then comes the CAIM Anthem led by Apostle Dr Anthony Mba. Following were Intercessory prayers led by the Coordinators of Imo, Abia, Anambra and Lagos States.
Imo State Coordinator, Apostle I.C. George, reading from Psalm 2:6-8, stated that God is the King and Igbo land, Ndigbo, is His son, therefore, according to the passage, we can ask for everything. He led the congregation to ask for:
1. That "Alaigbo g' adi nma", there shall be liberation, and since God declares our birthday and asks us to ask for anything, we ask that God should attack our attackers.
2. Lagos State led by , Ndu-Jesus Kanma prayed in this manner after referring to Psalm 2:1:
1. Fire in our lives against sin.
2. Prayer against divide and rule, and for peace and unity among Ndigbo na Ala Igbo.
3. That we will not go the same after the program.
Abia State Coordinator:Apostle Dr Leonard C. Abraham, prayed after reading from Number 13:29-30:
1. To take and possess our possessions spiritually, physically, politically, and otherwise.
2. Open gates in all the States to receive Jesus and reject all things that do not belong to Jesus and us.
3. Against fear for what you fear magnify itself.
4. Concluded with blessings upon the people.
At the end, the National Music Director took the floor and led in high spirited praises. It was wonderful.
The International President, Apostle Dr Solomon Okorie, led in the CAIM Anthem, a second time, followed by two Igbo songs, " Onye nonyere anyi kariri ndi emegide anyi"; kwue n'ozue la". He continued by recognizing dignitaries and appreciated all CAIM officials whose frank efforts have made CAIM/WIPS successful so far. He emphasized that the essence of our gathering is because of what is happening in Ala Igbo, where our people eat their kins men as meat, tracing that we were, " Onyeaghala Nwannem ya", who used to pay collectively to train our children. Igbos are the apostles and true Nigerians, we cannot run away from Nigeria, nor be intimidated. He declared that Igbo must be alive again, but we need to be in unity to condemn evil in the land. Imo is the spiritual head of Igbo land.
The choir rendered their number and ushered in Rev Dr Victor Isiodu for the first message. Rev Isiodu started by introducing his wife, for where there's a father, there will be a mother. He informed the House of his line up of celebrations next year; 50th anniversary of his marriage and ministry; 70 th birthday of his wife and his 80th birthday. He announced of some brethren who have started sending celebration gifts. At this point, the House broke into thanksgiving and gifts of cash to him. He traced his biography as being born in 23 rd May, 1946 to late Samuel Osuji Isiodu who was crowned the first eze, of Ihitte Mbieri. By prophecy, his name was to be John but in the course of names of victory by his parents, John was omitted. But in the spirit and ministry, his is John and invariably Elijah. Reading from Genesis 49:10, 2nd Chronicles 7:12-17, James 5:17-18 ,and emphasized that fervent prayers like Elijah will bring Shiloh , spirit of supplication, not giving God rest, until changes come. He declared that "there will be jubilee and God will visit us afresh".
All the same, he put up the following challenges to overcome:
1. The Holy Spirit must be given His rightful place. There is no church unless the Holy Spirit is in charge. Our fellowships must be fellowships, not Political, and a place of quarreling. CAIM must stand for C, Christ being the Pillar; A, for Association, should be vertical and horizontal to accommodate all; Igbo is facing existential terror geared to destroy us,but as we look up to God, we shall overcome.(Psalm 121), M, for Ministers, God sees us as Servants. We are Ministers with responsibilities -- serve your people. Persons involved are all of us.
He counselled the Int'l President and those with him for their apostolic work.
Continuing, he recounted how several persons and team of Ministers have come to lay altars for Africa, Nigeria, Igbo land, Eastern States and Imo State in his church without any invitation, and that whatever prayers offered here shall be answered. He expressed gratitude for CAIM choosing his church as their place for this Conference and closed with a prayer of blessings upon the people.
At this point, Rev Bar Prince will Odikanwa led in powerful deliverance prayers from occultism, activities of grandmasters, unity and preservation of our inheritance and revival for all.
The President continued to declare that " Chineke ndi Igbo amaka and wished that he will continue to be" onye Igbo".
He invited the PFN chairman, Bishop Jacobs to greet the people who in turn, thanked the people and informed the house that Dr Solomon Okorie has been tried and proved, and encouraged those who are with him to continue.
Bishop Humphrey Erumuaka was invited for the second message. He started by observing that he chose to come here even as he had invitations including at Benin . He stated that nothing will make Igbo people to be loved based on whom they are: working when others are sleeping, risk takers, kings and king makers but warned that we should be careful with what we do to ours, which matters. He introduced his topic as, "complete your victory ", Joshua 10:12-13, Ex 17:10-12. He traced how many policies, programs have targeted Ndigbo but they have always surmounted them. In completing victory, cooperative and collaborative efforts must be pursued for according to him," no one man does great things alone". We need people to help us complete our victory so we should enter into Covenant relationships.
The evening session started with prayer session and powerful praises. Introduction of dignitaries took place. Thereafter the President informed the house of the gospel match in which we decree that there will be no more blood shed in all our States, on Friday with our dressing code of Isiagu and Check George for the women, Isiagu and black trouser for the men.
The speaker,Bar Dr Prince will Odikanwa, introduced his topic as " we shall see again" reading from Judges 16:18, and using Samson as a case study. As we continue to pray and watch, our hair shall grow again and we shall be revived.
The closing prayer was made by Rev Dr V. Isiodu at about 7:12 pm and brought the evening program to an end.
To God be all the glory!
