WHAT I WILL DO AS THE YOUTH PRESIDENT OF CAIM WORLDWIDE - REV. AMAUGO

 

 

The newly appointed National Youth President of Christian Association of Igbo Ministers world wide CAIM, Rev. Mishael Amaugo, journalist turned preacher has revealed how he intends to make a great impact in the lives of the youths. He made this revelation during a press conference on Wednesday.

Speaking with journalists, Amaugo posited thus; "By the grace of God, I'm a pastor with the Assemblies of God Church. I have gone through all the schools required for one to pastor in the denomination, but not pastoring a particular branch due to divine direction. However, I run an outreach called Mawo Ministries; which  is an Evangelistic Outreach that reach out to people globally for the Lord.

"We have different arms of the Ministry, which include; Online Evangelism, Crusades, Prayer Ministry, Conferences, etc. So, you don't have to be pastor before you become an Igbo Youth Ministry Leader.

"The first driving force to leading young people is  PASSION, I'm so passionate about liberating, teaching, reorienting and impacting young people in the dark world to the marvelous light of Christ.

"For some years back, I had been boasting that some Satanic cultures are things of the past in my village. I made proud of it that Christ has taken over those cultures that don't glorify His name. To my greatest amazement, I got home last year and discovered that most of  those cultures that had gone into oblivion are back. I saw young people painted themselves black carrying different types of masquerades. Oh my God!  I lamented and cried profusely. After that experience, my heart has been troubled and worried on what to do to win them  back to Christ. So, as soon as this appointment came, I knew that Heaven has heard my cry and wants me to leverage on the platform to impact my generation.  By the  Grace of God we are going to synergize with the community heads, churches, organizations and so on to achieve this broad vision.

On how he intends to convert the youths who indulge in traditional practices he said; "We will have a synergy between this people here and our own  organization to see how we can hold Conferences, Prayer Summits, Teachings, Empowerments, etc. We shall seriously explore the social media space (Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc) in reaching out to them. Of course, the greater percentage of the social media users are young people. One must know the language of the youths before you can win them. 

 

"To spark off their interest, you must be strategic and ecstatic in your activities for them. We shall organize Singing Competitions, Bible Quizzes, Drama Groups and other inspiring activities with Price Tag for the winners. The Prices may range from  One Hundred Thousand to One Million Naira or more. Apart from creating some avenues of reading the Word of God, they shall be encouraged to apply the Word into their lives. Because, "the application or implementation of information or instruction, brings transformation."

Education Scholarships and  Sponsorships  for Skill Acquisition Programmes will also be of paramount interest for the Youth Department. These are strategies of winning them to Christ and enhancing their potentials for greatness.

When asked what he did specially that led to his appointment. He said, "Well I think its not by my education, money, strength or by anything, but it's divinely orchestrated by God. There are Thousand and one men here that are more powerful in every sphere than me, but God's favour found me.  It can only be God! Appointing me as the National Youth Coordinator is indeed the finger of God!"

When asked to encourage young people who see criminality as an option for success, he said; ".I want to encourage young people to first accept Jesus Christ in their lives and then discover their purpose so that their lives will be progressive. 

The consequences of criminality cannot be over emphasized. Those evil vices lead to distractions and distractions lead to destruction!  Please, young people should  desist from any form of  criminality, pursue their goals, fulfil purpose and maximise their potentials in life. In doing so, God will crown their efforts with success! Just do your best and God will do the rest. The Holy writ in Psalm 1:3b declares that God blesses the works of our hands.... You must have something doing, before favour speaks over it. God asked Moses 'what do you have in your hands?' Your gift or your talent is the pointer to your blessing. 419 or internet fraud is not the medium through which you will prosper. God abhors evil and remember that the chilly hands of the Law Enforcement Agents are always opened to grab evil perpetrators anyday anytime! I'm confident in my spirit that young people are about to cause a paradym shift and change the narratives positively in Igboland and Nigeria at large." He concluded.
